This is the first of many upcoming blogs where I will feature a favorite product or book that we carry both in-store and online at Earth Friendly Children. As I noted on our "About Us' page, this venture combines two things that I am passionate about- organic, sustainable, comfortable and adorable children's clothing and children's literacy. As an educational specialist, having the opportunity to get books into the hands of children is a dream-come-true. And, honestly, as the mother of 2 college-aged sons and a 10-year-old daughter, I almost want to have another baby in order to have a solid reason to buy the new Yoto Player for our home! Research shows that listening to audiobooks is an amazing way to grow vocabulary and gain background knowledge which are critical skills for building reading comprehension. With the holidays fast approaching, I can truly say that this is the ultimate gift for a child of any age. I can't wait for you to try it out in-person at one of our stores!
